Taiwan 2023

Just came back from a 10 day trip in Taiwan and am very jetlagged. We visited Taipei, Sun Moon Lake, Tainan, and Kaohsiung, which provided a good mix of food, nature, and culture.

I wanted to travel relatively light, so I was only equipped with a 35mm (full frame equivalent) prime lens the whole trip; however, I’m becoming more convinced that this is the way to go instead of lugging around 5+ pounds of camera gear. Despite the limited gear, I was able to capture most scenarios (landscapes, street, portraits, even the occasional wildlife) fairly easily and only rarely did I wish I had more reach.
